These FAQs describe frequently asked questions about the Training Office`s training contract evaluation process before deciding on the registration of a training contract. View and manage your training contract 24/7 with the WAAMS online customer portal As part of a training contract, employers and trainees must fulfil certain obligations towards each other. This means that the employer and the intern cannot be the same person. In addition, some employment programs are not eligible for a training contract. In Washington State, additional requirements may have to be met if a school-aged child wishes to take out a training contract. This fact sheet provides guidance and describes the general requirements with an overview of the process. A model national training plan has been developed by the Australian Working Group on Apprenticeship Reform and can be used to support the development of training plans. In Western Australia, it is not mandatory for training providers to follow this model. Apprenticeships and internships are offered in Western Australia as part of a skills-based training system. This brochure explains how competency-based training is linked to the training contract. For most types of training contract changes, WAAMS offers online submission of the application (individually or in bulk), replacing the requirement to submit forms via email and resulting in much faster response times. The amount of government support for interns may vary depending on whether the intern is considered a newcomer or an existing employee. In June 2017, Western Australia`s training records system will automatically upgrade a replaced qualification to its replacement qualification in a training contract at the end of the applicable transition period. This fact sheet describes some general requirements for temporary work visas (subclass 457) and temporary skills shortage visas (subclass 482) who wish to enroll in a training or internship contract in Western Australia.
